Purva Sharma, M.D. joins Chester River Specialty Clinic

Chester River Health is pleased to announce that Purva Sharma, M.D., board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, is now providing a range of services for patients suffering from chronic kidney disease, including electrolyte disturbances or high blood pressure. Dr. Sharma also can help those with end stage kidney disease requiring dialysis.

Dr. Sharma is now seeing new patients at the Specialty Clinic in the Medical Services Building, located at Chester River Hospital's campus.

"While kidney disease can take many years to develop, once established in your body it can cause significant problems," commented Dr. Sharma. "Like many other organs, problems with the kidneys are often not limited to the organ itself. You may develop complications like high blood pressure, anemia, weak bones, poor nutritional health or nerve damage."
