Diagnostic Services
Laboratory
Chester River Hospital Center's Laboratory offers a full range of testing services. Our board-certified pathologist, in conjunction with a highly-knowledgeable staff of phlebotomists and technologists, conducts a variety of laboratory tests to aid in diagnosing or confirming patient conditions.
More than 800 types of tests are performed in Chemistry, Hematology, Histology, Immunology, Microbiology, Serology and Urinalysis. The Chester River Hospital Center laboratory also provides blood bank services.
Outpatient Laboratory
Our Outpatient Laboratory offers a comfortable, convenient setting for administering the tests you need.
On a daily basis, we conduct routine outpatient tests, including CBC (Complete Blood Count), Pro-time, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Basic Metabolic Panel, Glucose, Coronary Risk Profile, Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN), Hemoglobin A1C, Urinalysis and Occult Blood. Our highly-skilled phlebotomists obtain needed samples with minimal stress�even from young infants and geriatric patients.
Registration for Outpatient Laboratory services occurs on-site when patients arrive.
The Outpatient Laboratory is open 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Quality Laboratory Services
Our board-certified clinical pathologist directs the laboratory, and a Registered Medical Technologist supervises every department. Staffed 24 hours a day, the lab maintains a staff of medical technologists certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
The lab is licensed and certified by the College of American Pathologists, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and the Bureau of Biologics.
The Blood Bank has dual accreditation by the College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banks.

Services are available at competitive rates, with no extra charge for STAT service or repeat testing determinations. There is no charge for supplies. We offer convenient billing and insurance invoicing.
