Chester River Hospital Center

A not-for-profit community hospital, Chester River Hospital Center provides short-term acute care services to the residents of its service area.

The Hospital is licensed by the State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is governed by a fifteen-member Board of Directors made up of volunteers from the community.

The Hospital is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine, a move which has enhanced health care services to the community by providing improved access to Hopkins’ wide array of specialized health care services and resources. The affiliation has provided benefits such as physician and staff education, physician coverage and assistance with strategic planning.
