The public is invited to Kent & Queen Anne’s Hospital’s groundbreaking ceremony Thursday, September 21 at 3:30 p.m. on the front parking lot. The 17-month, $6 million project will begin in early October.

“To respond to the changing health care needs of our community, Kent & Queen Anne’s Hospital is adding new services and planning major renovations with this project,” notes William R. Kirk, Jr., president & CEO, Kent & Queen Anne’s Hospital.

“This construction and renovation program addresses our facility needs brought about by the changes in health care delivery over the past ten years and will prepare us for the challenges that lie ahead.”

Features of the project include: an expanded emergency department, on site magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) service and diagnostic cardiac catheterization, a new pediatrics department, centralized outpatient services, an enhanced oncology/ambulatory services department, an expanded surgical suite and additional parking.
