Automated Teller Machine

An ATM machine, maintained by Peoples Bank of Kent County, is located in the main lobby on the first floor of the hospital.

Cafeteria and Vending Machines

All visitors are welcome to dine in the hospital cafeteria, which serves breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday, in the dining room on the second floor of the hospital. Vending machines are located in the main lobby in the emergency department waiting area and on the second floor across from the cafeteria.

Breakfast: 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 p.m., Monday through Friday


Lunch: 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Smoking

Chester River Hospital Center recognizes that tobacco smoke is a health hazard not only for smokers but also for those who breathe the smoke. Thus, the hospital maintains a smoke-free environment and prohibits smoking in all areas of the hospital including the Medical Services Building, all buildings on the hospital grounds and at all entrances.

Gift Shop

The gift shop is located in the main lobby, and is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from Noon to 3:00 p.m.. Cards, gifts, candy, stamps, newspapers, magazines, flowers and other items are available.

Telephones

Public telephones are located in the main lobby and throughout the hospital for your convenience.

Visiting Hours

Family members and friends are welcome to visit at Chester River Hospital Center. When visiting a patient, please check in at the main reception desk where you will be issued a visitor badge. If you are visiting a patient in our critical care unit, you will need to phone the critical care nursing station from the family waiting area outside of the unit in order to gain access to that area. We ask that you observe the following schedule.

General patient areas: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Please try to limit visitors to two at a time for your own welfare and that of other patients and visitors in the hospital. Children may visit patients if they are accompanied by an adult.
