He is also a professor of plastic surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and an adjunct professor at John Hopkins School of Medicine. One of the operating rooms at Chester River Hospital Center is dedicated to his father-in-law, Gilbert L. Watson III. “I am very pleased to be part of the new specialty clinic at Chester River Hospital. This is a great collaboration resulting from the partnership between University of Maryland Medical System and Chester River Health System,” Dr. Goldberg remarked.
Plastic surgery office hours at the Specialty Clinic are every Monday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Plastic surgery is the first medical specialty being offered at Chester River Hospital Center’s new Specialty Clinic. The goal of the clinic is to make the most innovative, top-quality specialists and care locally available to the Upper Shore region. Providing a local office presence for consultations and procedures enables the residents of Chestertown and the surrounding area to obtain exceptional care without facing the inconvenience of commuting outside the community.
“We are excited to be able to offer the exceptional expertise of Dr. Nelson Goldberg to the community,” said Jeff Johnson, chief executive officer. “One of the benefits of our affiliation with the University of Maryland Medical System is the opportunity to make available the best and brightest of Maryland’s medical talent to benefit those who live in our local community – while also providing easy and convenient access.” Johnson reported that additional service offerings available through the Specialty Clinic will be announced in the coming months.
